DAF Trucks Dealer UCR Trucks Officially Opened
DAF Trucks continues to strengthen its dealer network in Türkiye. With the official ceremony held on 22 October, UCR Trucks joined the DAF dealer family. The new 4S facility covers a total of 10,000 sqm — 7,000 sqm open and 3,000 sqm enclosed — and is equipped with the latest technology.
The opening was attended by Atila Kaya, General Manager of DAF Trucks Türkiye, Michiel Kuijs, European Sales Director of DAF Trucks, Mert Ersoylu, Sales Director of DAF Trucks Türkiye, together with Mehmet Ali Uçar, Chairman of UCR Group, and Ertuğrul Emre Uçar, Vice Chairman and General Manager.
Atila Kaya: "I am proud to work with a partner like UCR"
Speaking at the opening, Atila Kaya, General Manager of DAF Trucks Türkiye, said that customer satisfaction comes above everything else and that the dealer network is being built with the best business partners. Kaya noted that UCR reached a volume of 400 vehicles in 2024.
On spare parts he said: "Keeping a seamless supply stock for all our customers is our duty. We will provide 24/7 service with certified technicians." Kaya added that they will reach 10 full dealerships and 15 service points in 2025, secured a 6 percent market share in the first eight months, and expect to reach 1,200 vehicles by the end of 2024.
Mehmet Ali Uçar: "We are an important part of this great team"
Mehmet Ali Uçar, Chairman of UCR Group, said: "We provide you with the fastest and highest-quality service 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Among ourselves we call the vehicles that come to our workshops our 'big babies'. Human, moral and commercial ethics — and sustainability — are indispensable to us."
Uçar added: "In November 2022 we became an important part of this great team and in 2023 we received the Dealer of the Year award; the first and second places in the technician contest both came from our family. We will be with you in our new facilities."
Ertuğrul Emre Uçar: "DAF is reshuffling the cards"
Ertuğrul Emre Uçar, Vice Chairman and General Manager of UCR Group, opened his speech with: "Welcome to our 4S facility, serving on 7,000 sqm of open and 3,000 sqm of enclosed area."
He continued: "As DAF and UCR we listened to your demands and now present you a facility equipped with the latest technology. With fuel savings, competitive pricing and low fuel consumption, DAF is reshuffling the cards in the heavy commercial vehicle market. With tractors, urban trucks and construction vehicles it has brought a new perspective to the market."
Michiel Kuijs: "We are confident we will go further with UCR"
Michiel Kuijs, European Sales Director of DAF Trucks, said: "Today we are celebrating not only the opening of UCR but also DAF's 75th anniversary." Kuijs explained that DAF maintained its leading position in 2023 with a turnover of 8.6 billion dollars and 69,000 vehicles produced, that it operates three production centres in the Netherlands, Belgium and the United Kingdom, and that it has established a parts supply centre with an investment of 85 million euros.
Noting that the service network in Türkiye provides 24/7 support at 21 locations, Kuijs recalled that the new generation DAF models XD, XF and XG won the Truck of the Year award twice in a row.
Mert Ersoylu: "We offer the vehicles of the future"
Mert Ersoylu, Sales Director of DAF Trucks Türkiye, presented the new generation of DAF vehicles. Noting that they met transporters in 2021, Ersoylu said: "The new vehicles offer the safety, efficiency and comfort of the future. For environmental performance and greater savings you have to develop the engines; at the same time safety becomes the most important element. Improvements in driver cabins were needed for long-distance journeys. The new generation DAF emerged as the result of all this."
